Hotel AG Lists Comfort Inn & Suites Savannah Airport - Savannah, Georgia

Hotel Assets Group, LLC, as sole exclusive agent, is pleased to offer the Comfort Inn & Suites (collectively known as the “Property,” or “Hotel”), a select-service all suites hotel located in Savannah, Georgia.

The Comfort Inn & Suites Savannah Airport is a 79-room, select service hotel located at 15 Jay R. Turner Drive in Savannah, Georgia. The property is located less than one mile from the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport as well as the headquarters and production facilities for Gulfstream Aviation. Further, the airport market now offers numerous restaurants and retail venues and in April 2015 will include the addition of over 1.0 million square feet of new retail and restaurants in the Tanger Outlet Mall located just ½ mile from the subject hotel. The property is conveniently located near several local area attractions such as The Might Eighth Air Force Heritage Museum, Savannah Civic Center, Oglethorpe Speedway Park, the Savannah Festival Factory Stores and the Savannah Mall.

The Property is a three story, interior corridor hotel originally constructed in 2006. The Hotel contains a lobby reception area for both breakfast and evening receptions, business center, on site guest laundry facilities, outdoor pool and fitness center.

Ground Lease
The Hotel sits on a long-term ground lease from the Savannah Airport Authority. The original lease, executed in August 2006 , was for a period of 70 years and expires July 2076.

Hotel Specific Demand Generators
Gulfstream aviation continues to invest in the Savannah market. In 2006 they announced a $300,000,000 expansion project that was expected to last seven years and create 1,100 jobs. The project was completed in three and a half years and created 1,500 jobs. In 2010 they announced another expansion of $500,000,000 and created another 2,500 jobs. In 2013 they were able to add another 1,000 jobs. Gulfstream continues to grow and add to the Savannah economy. In mid October the corporation broke ground on a 400,000 sf distribution facility that is expected to add 300 jobs. At the groundbreaking they announced the human resources and training center is now open and employing 180 individuals.

The Tanger Savannah Outlet mall is scheduled to open in April 2015. This development is located less than a mile from the property and will be home to several of the country’s top retailers. Some of the expected mall tenants are: Fossil, Nautica, Lucky Jeans, Polo, Gap, G.H. Bass, New York & Co., Dress Barn, Loft, Chico’s, Abercrombie and Fitch, and many more. At least 80% of the available space has been secured by retailers.
