Hotel AG’s New Logo and Closes 80 Hotel Transactions in Last 12 Months

ATLANTA – November 4, 2014 – Hotel Assets Group, LLC (Hotel AG), announced today the firm has a new logo and brand, and additionally, has closed 80 hotel transactions over the past 12 months.

“The new Hotel AG logo and brand streamlines the message the firm wants to portray which is a company that is clean, honest, fresh and transparent,” said H. Keith Thompson, principal of Hotel AG.

What’s more, the firm has closed 80 hotel real estate transactions over the past 12 months. Of the transactions closed, 34 were Hilton or Marriott branded assets, 11 were full service assets and 9 were over200 rooms in size. Geographically, the hotels were located across all regions and segments in the US. Many of the assets were in top MSA markets and covered most brand families. The buyers consisted mostly of REITs and large institutional investment firms and the clients represented were across all ownership types.

In addition, the firm is closing a portfolio this week, which will be the 3rd past 8 weeks. All 3 portfolios were priced between $80 million and $110 million. Furthermore, the firm has just been engaged on 3 new portfolios ranging from 6 hotels to 35 hotels.

Hotel AG currently has 201 active hotel engagements totaling $2.7 billion in real estate value on the market with 69 of the hotels being Hilton, Marriott or Hyatt brand affiliated. Of the 69, 21 are full service hotels with the balance being select service assets. The majority of them are included within 11 portfolios.

“Transaction volume seems to be fully engaged for the the back half of 2014 and the first half of 2015. We believe we are in the window that will prove to be the transaction height of this cycle,” further commented H. Keith Thompson.
